Nostro Piano based singer/songwriter, with rather gritty vocals. Essentially a ballads album, with lyrics that grow deeper with every listen. Occasional use of strings and drums fill out the sound to what sounds more than just a lo-fi recording on this particular release. Whilst I'm not such a great fan of Randy Newman, I tend to hear a certain kinship with his music, rather than Tom Waits, Nick Cave or others I've heard Vazquez compared to; though he'd appeal to fans of such artists. Nice! Favorite track: Truly Yours ( Death & The Maiden).
